ACTRA Nomination

Nigel Bennett has been nominated for the ACTRA Award in the category Outstanding Performance for his superb portrayal as Chief Constable Giles in the Murdoch Mysteries episode What Lies Buried.

Stratford 2015

Nigel Bennett returns to the Stratford Festival this season.

He appears as Sir Charles Marlow, sr. in the 18th century comedy She Stoops to Conquer by Oliver Goldsmith.

In the classic Greek drama Oedipus Rex by Sophocles Nigel plays Teiresias and the Shepherd.

Saving Hope

Nigel Bennett appeared in Season 3, Episode 14 of Saving Hope. In the episode Trading Places he plays Joel's (Daniel Gillies) father, a famous physician himself,  who comes to town in order to pick up an award. Due to health issues he's admitted to Hope Zion Hospital instead.

Murdoch Mysteries

Nigel Bennett delivered a stunning performance in Murdoch Mysteries episode 7 of season 8. In What lies buried a skeleton is found in the concrete under Station House #4. Detective Murdoch investigates the 20-year old case that puts everyone on the suspect list who has worked at the station house during that time, including Chief Constable Giles.
